New Year promises scaling high
Everybody eagerly expects the new-year and not only the forthcoming new-year, however, each new year.
And once the New Year arrives, they do write as much plans as possible. While, the chain smoker decides to quit smoking for the entire 365 days during the year, the alcoholic wants to reduce his intake to one fourth.
The person who is regular to “horse racing” decides to invest the amount with a better company which yields a good return.
The housewife wants to purchase a car while her husband wants to construct a house.
Expectations are mounting and the expectations vary from person to person. and she may even come forward to advise her husband to go in for title pawn loan which can provide them some ready cash.
Moreover, expectations start from improving the character to increasing the wealth.
The list goes on and on.
However, while everybody decides, somebody opens the diary and shows it to his friends. Some keeps the diary closed and many keep their promises within their brains.
Once they reach the later part of January or February, they start running again on the old route and all promises start disappearing like empty clouds.
One in thousands tries to keep his promises and executes at least one fourth of his plans within the year and again – they are ready for the “next new year”.
The top executive of a bank complained to his wife about an employee of his office.
“While everybody rings me by 12.00 A.M. on New Year day, this man rings me by 12.05.”
“Why are you getting annoyed?; it is a matter of five minutes only”, replied the wife.
“He rang me up on January 3rd”
Usually in families children used to arrive plans for new dresses to be bought during the year and there will be no end for their selections and most designs they prefer will be based on the advertisements they are viewing through umpteen number of TV channels. While the father has no say in this connection, the mother will be always standing by the side of the children.
